“I was supposed to have been a Jesuit priest or a Naval Academy grad…but I couldn’t fit the part, too dumb or too smart, ain’t it funny how we all turn out, I guess we are the people are parents warned us about.” – Jimmy Buffett

Mr. Sports Travel is a lot like you – loves sports and loves to travel. Oh, yes, he has a real name, but must we give it away? You'd be like, where’s the drama? Where’s the excitement? Where’s the surprise? Aren’t these just a few of the reasons we like to sports travel, following our favorite teams? Now that Mr. Sports Travel has your undivided attention…

“If you haven't met (Mr. Sports Travel), chances are you will someday if you attend enough games. The man is constantly on the move.” – Tampa Tribune

ABOUT MR. SPORTS TRAVEL

Arguably, few fans have more first-hand sports travel experience than Mr. Sports Travel. The ultimate sports fan and freelance sports writer has watched sports in more than 30 countries, including 400 plus baseball parks, and over 100 football stadiums; hockey arenas; and basketball venues each, plus the likes of The Tour De France, Wimbledon, the British Open, heck even Sumo Wrestling in Japan, Bull Riding in Nebraska and Cricket in Australia, mate, just to name a few! A U.S. native, most of Mr. Sports Travel’s adventures have been in North America, mostly American college and pro football, basketball, baseball and hockey, but also golf, tennis, horse racing, volleyball and more.

Mr. Sports Travel’s been a freelance sports writer for more than 10 years. As he’s self-employed, he pays his own way, which is why he's always looking to save money – from game tickets to parking to airfare, hotels and more. In 2001, he created, “A Fan’s Guide To The Ultimate MLB Ballpark Tour,” an online guide to help fans cost-effectively plan a cross-country road trip. The MLB guide has been annually updated since then, and travel planning guides to baseball spring training, the World Baseball Classic and college baseball have also been enjoyed by thousands of fans. The easy-to-use online travel planning guides provide current details and insightful tips right at the fingertips, as opposed to outdated books. Mr. Sports Travel is always updating his pro basketball, football and hockey guides to complement his college guides. Many of his North American coast-to-coast sports travels took place in the renewable energy machine that ran on biodiesel and vegetable oil!
